Група за неуронауке

 

Група за неуронауке бави се испитивањима механизама и биолошких корелата виших нервних функција. Испитивањима су обухваћени како здрави људи, тако и људи са различитим патолошким стањима централног нервног система (ЦНС). Примењују се различите методе из обаласти неурофизиологије и психофизиологије, неуропсихологије и психометрије, наука о спорту и сл.

 

У раду Групе посебан значај имају новоразвијене методе неинвазивне неуромодулације (МНН) за транскранијалну стимулацију помоћу магнетних импулса и електричног поља. Ове методе, са којима је Група стекла значајно искуство и међународну репутацију, омогућавају селективну и циљану модулацију неуралних кругова и система релевантних за стање на које се жели утицати. Активности Групе обухватају како употребу МНН за функционалну евалуацију и модулацију ексцитабилности, синаптичке активације и пластицитета ЦНС, тако и испитвање интеракција МНН и разних облика тренинга, физиотерапије и лекова.

 

Испитивањима су обухваћене различите популације болесника (са есктрапирамидалним болестима као што су Паркинсонова болест и дистонија, хроничним болом као и стањима после цереброваскуларних инсулта) и на репрезентативним популацијама здравих испитаника. Испитивања обухватају регистровање физиолошких параметара активности сензо-моторних система, психолошка тестирања, кинематичка мерења и одређивање промена до којих долази дејством МНН.

 

Код пацијента се такође утврђују и корелације ових налаза са клиничким параметрима. Добијени резултати, поред тога што доприносе бољем разумевању механизама дејства МНН, омогућавају боље разумевање механизама кортикалне ескцитабилности, активације и пластицитета као и њихових поремећаја. Резултати истраживања које Група спроводи би требало да доведу, с једне стране, до дефинисања оптималних параметара за употребу МНН у терапији, било самостално или ради побољшавања ефеката других облика лечења (лекови, рехабилитација) и спортског тренинга, а са друге стране, да омогуће идентификовање неурофизиолошких маркера резидуалног пластицитета код пацијената ради бољег дефинисања (персонализације) терапије.

PAIC, Pain Assessment in Patients with Impaired Cognition, especially Dementia (COST Actions)
